We provided full lifecycle project management for a $7.3m USD project. This included deployment of 160 international staff, client liaison, contract negotiation and management, HR support, ensuring operational readiness and budget management.
What we did:
The client approached us having won a major contract on this international sporting event. We provided a Project Director to work under the clients’ banner acting as an agent for their Operations Director.
The initial scope was to assist with project management and mobilisation, with a remit to manage ourselves out of the process once the project delivery team were deployed to the host city and were fully operational. Our strategic role saw our brief expand to include an operational role, acting as the main point of contact between our client and the event organising committee, ensuring continuity throughout the full lifecycle of the project.
We were accountable for HR and recruitment, contract negotiation, budget oversight, on-site client liaison, health and safety, food hygiene and overall project delivery. Additionally, we sourced and managed IT infrastructure for the team in the UK and in the host city, including mobile phones, laptops, Exchange email accounts, remote terminal server access and cloud storage.
